Life
in the eye of
a hurricane
is
a mixed blessing
not
a stay at home existence
traveling great distances
in short order
well protected from
would be attackers
but
unable to see
beyond the circle
within which you swirl
aware
danger
is not all
that is
out of reach.
You
bide your time
reading and reflecting
because
the lifespan
of a hurricane
is briefer than
your own
and
when it passes on
you get a chance
to do something
other than
prepare for tomorrow.
