We are using film
too fast
on our first evening
in Paris
photographing Notre Dame
bathed in warm light
the Seine
and everything
along its banks
the Pantheon
and one another.
To be young
in Paris
tonight
seems
still
to be a
wonderful thing
though too late
for me to know
first hand
nonetheless
here at last
I am
able to say
better late than never
by far
for
Paris makes
a good first impression.
