The hound
looking around
bares his teeth
and growls
ready to snap
at all those
taking too long
to die
but doesn’t
aware that
when
his time comes
he intends
to take it
and
of all the possible
complications
he hopes
at least to avoid
in his final days
getting bit on the ass
by the golden rule.
